This is a free service through St. David Children’s Hospital. They can help determine if you need to seek immediate care or if you can wait until the next business day.
In the Office
Schedule an appointment by calling 512-858-7474.
We currently do not accept walk-ins. If you arrive at the office without an appointment, we will gladly schedule you for our next available appointment, which may or may not be on the same day.
Please arrive early.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. This allows time to complete check-in, insurance verification, and prepare for your visit with a provider. Please remember that all insurance companies require that your insurance data be updated prior to each encounter. This usually takes a few minutes. If this is not done, your claim may be denied. We do not want time spent on administrative requirements to limit your time with your health provider.
Schedule same-day appointments for sick visits.
Appointments are scheduled on a first-available appointment basis.
Patients who arrive on time are seen at their appointment time.
Patients who have arrived on time will be seen ahead of those who arrive late. If you arrive late, we may need to abbreviate or reschedule your child’s visit.
Call ahead if you are late or unable to make your appointment time.
We will do all that we can to accommodate your child’s appointment and to minimize the need to reschedule your appointment. We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel any well-child exam, medication evaluation appointment, or any extended length visit ( visits that are 30 or more minutes). Fees may be charged for visits canceled less than 24 hours.
Late arrivals (more than 15 minutes after scheduled arrival time) will be offered the next available appointment.
In these cases, a no-show fee of $75 is charged for well-child exam and medication evaluation appointments and a fee of $25 is charged for acute visits. This fee may or may not be reimbursed by your insurance. While we will do all that is possible to accommodate requests, the first-available appointment may or may not be on the day the appointment was missed.
Cancellations
Well-child exams, medication evaluation appointments, and extended length visits ( 30 or more minutes) cancelled with less than 24 business hours prior to the appointment time will incur a $75 no-show fee. Please note that we close at 12:00 PM on Friday. If you need to cancel a Monday appointment, please call the office before 12:00 PM on the preceding Friday. Patients who no-show three or more times in a 12 month period will be dismissed from the practice, thus will be denied any future appointments.
We understand that special or unavoidable circumstances may cause you to cancel within 24 hours. Fees for this instance may be waived but only with management approval.
Appointments for additional children should be made by phone prior to coming to the office.
If you would like another child to be seen, please schedule appointments for both children by phone prior to coming to the office.
